DESCRIPTION:Dear friends and colleagues from home and abroad\,\n\n\nDear members of the Romanian Association of Plastic Surgeons\, Romanian Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery and Romanian Association of Hand Surgery\,\n\n\n\nThe Romanian Association of Plastic Surgeons (Ro.A.P.S.)\, the nation’s largest organization of board-certified plastic surgeons\, is honored to announce and welcome you to the „3 in 1 Joint Congress”\, our 19th National Congress with international attendance\, which will take place during 28-30 April 2022\, in Timisoara\, Romania. The event will be organized in partnership with two major national societies\, the Romanian Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Romanian Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery\, with a strong commitment to unity for our specialty. The event will be endorsed by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)\, partner society through the Memorandum of Understanding\, signed in 2019\, along with other European and international partners (ICOPLAST\, EAS(A)PS\, FESSH\, IFSSH\, AAHS\, EFSM and WSRM)\, directly or through our national partners. A special pre-congress video-session of the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery will be included in the program of the joint congress.\nIt’s truly an honor to lead our national society at a pivotal time in the history of medicine and amidst these pandemic times. Throughout history\, plastic surgery has been defining itself as an innovator in medicine and we are continuously committed to patient safety and improved care.\nAfter two years of restrictions regarding COVID-19 Pandemics\, let’s hope that\, taking into account all the safety measures\, we can finally meet in person. The congress will focus on the main areas of our specialty\, among general reconstructive surgery\, microsurgery\, hand surgery\, burns\, and of course\, aesthetic surgery. The program will comprise presentations accepted through the online platform\, invited lectures\, master classes\, state-of-the-art presentations from Romanian and international top surgeons. Our residents\, who represent the future of our specialty\, will benefit from a special section devoted to them. 2022 will be the moment when our associations will also\, elect their next Presidents and Boards. A new\, pre-congress course for residents and the younger specialists will be announced. Not to forget the social program that this beautiful city\, Timisoara\, can offer and we guarantee some nice surprises.\nThe event will be hosted right in the heart of Timisoara’s vibrant city center\, where the state-of-the-art Congress Center of Hotel Timisoara is prepared to offer you all the comfort of an in-person meeting while also assuring the highest safety measures. Meeting each other in person is essential in order to exchange knowledge\, to share experience\, to evolve together.
