Présentation générale

La Discipline de Pharmacologie–Pharmacothérapie de la Faculté de Pharmacie de Timișoara a été fondée le 1er octobre 2000, concomitamment à l’accréditation définitive de cette faculté. Le personnel enseignant a été initialement asuré par le transfert d’une partie du corps professoral de la Discipline de Pharmacologie de la Faculté de Médecine Générale de notre université, puis par la formation et le recrutement, par concours, d’une équipe propre.

Depuis sa création et jusqu’en 2020, la discipline a été coordonnée par Mme le Prof. univ. dr. Carmen Cristescu. À partir de septembre 2021, la direction de la discipline a été assurée par Mme le Conf. univ. dr. Mirela Voicu. Depuis le 3 octobre 2022, Mme le Prof. univ. dr. Codruța Șoica occupe la fonction de responsable de discipline. À compter du 1er janvier 2024, l’intitulé a été modifié : la Discipline de Pharmacologie–Pharmacothérapie est devenue la Chaire Universitaire de Pharmacologie–Pharmacothérapie.

L’activité d’enseignement au sein de la Discipline de Pharmacologie–Pharmacothérapie s’est toujours déroulée auprès des étudiants de troisième et de quatrième année, dans les deux programmes d’études — roumain et français — sur une durée de trois semestres. L’objectif principal est d’associer de manière harmonieuse les connaissances théoriques aux exigences de la pratique pharmaceutique. Dans ce contexte, l’enseignement de la pharmacologie à la Faculté de Pharmacie vise, d’une part, l’acquisition des connaissances essentielles concernant les principales classes de médicaments (propriétés pharmacocinétiques et pharmacodynamiques, indications thérapeutiques, contre-indications, précautions et règles d’administration), et, d’autre part, le développement d’un raisonnement pharmacologique indispensable au futur praticien pour comprendre tant les avantages que les risques inhérents à une prescription médicale.

À partir de l’année universitaire 2023–2024, la Discipline de Pharmacologie–Pharmacothérapie, devenue ultérieurement la Chaire Universitaire de Pharmacologie–Pharmacothérapie, s’est vue adjoindre les matières suivantes : Pathologie clinique (4e année), Microbiologie (1re année) et Anatomie, physiologie et physiopathologie (1re et 2e années). À compter de l’année universitaire 2025–2026, la Chaire Universitaire de Pharmacologie–Pharmacothérapie sera renommée Pharmacologie, Physiologie et Physiopathologie.

La recherche scientifique constitue une préoccupation constante de l’équipe de la chaire. Les thématiques développées s’inscrivent dans deux axes majeurs de la recherche pharmacologique: la recherche fondamentale et la recherche clinique. Ces travaux ont été valorisés par de nombreuses publications dans des revues de prestige nationales et internationales.
