The Cardiovascular Surgery Department and academic discipline within the “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara is one of the centers of excellence in cardiac surgery in Romania, with a strong tradition in caring for patients with cardiovascular diseases, academic activity, and training future generations of surgeons.

• TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) – percutaneous implantation of an aortic valve
• TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair) – endovascular repair of thoracic aortic aneurysms and dissections
