The Nursing Department is the academic structure of the Faculty of Nursing dedicated to the professional training of general nurses (AMG), balfiziokinetotherapy and rehabilitation, nutrition, and dietetics. The department organizes theoretical and practical teaching activities, provides clinical internships, and develops training programs in the fields of general nursing, community nursing, elderly care, and applied clinical skills.
History:
- Establishment of the Faculty of Nursing (UMF Victor Babeș): The Faculty of Nursing was approved by Government Decision No. 412/2024, published in the Official Gazette, Part I, on April 29, 2024. This marks the official establishment of the faculty within the structure of UMF “Victor Babeș” Timișoara.
- Establishment of Department I Nursing: Department I Nursing has been part of the new Faculty of Nursing since October 2024, within which the University Clinic for Clinical Skills and the University Clinic for Nursing operate.

Mission and objectives:
The mission of the Department of Nursing I is to train competent, ethical, and responsible generalist nurses who are able to provide patient-centered care, collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary teams, and adapt to the demands of the modern healthcare system. We aim to combine theoretical excellence with intensive practical training in university clinics and clinical partnerships.
