Description Vice-Rectorate for International Relations

The Vice-Rector responsible for international relations has the following main duties:

a) has direct responsibility for and coordinates the work of the International Relations Office;
b) initiates the conclusion of academic and scientific cooperation agreements with universities in Romania and abroad;
c) assesses opportunities for the University to join domestic and international bodies in the field of education;
d) manages staff and student trips abroad and monitors their activity reports upon their return;
e) coordinates the ERASMUS+ programme;
f) manages bilateral agreements concluded with partner universities abroad;
g) is responsible for ensuring awareness of and correct application of the relevant legislation in force;
h) manages foreign students;
i) coordinates the residency-based specialisation programme for citizens exclusively from third countries (non-EU);
j) coordinates the drafting of the necessary documents for staff and students travelling abroad and monitors their activity reports upon their return from such trips;
k) submits the annual activity report of the Vice-Rectorate for International Relations to the Board of Governors;
l) contributes to the promotion of UMFVBT as a higher education institution on the international academic market by initiating, developing and implementing international marketing activities;
m) establishes working procedures for the activities for which he/she is responsible;
n) coordinates the subordinate departments and development units, in accordance with the university’s organisational chart, as approved by the University Senate;
o) other duties delegated by the Rector.
