The discipline of Professional Legislation in Dental Medicine aims to acquire knowledge to students about legal regulations and medical responsibility.
In order to acquire such knowledge regarding the applicable legislation in the medical field, the activity of the members of the discipline is materialized in teaching the course topic and practical works to the following obligatory subjects:
- PROFESSIONAL LEGISLATION IN DENTAL MEDICINE – the program of university studies of Dental Medicine license, year IV, semester 8;
- PROFESSIONAL LEGISLATION IN DENTAL MEDICINE – undergraduate program Dental Medicine ( in English ), year IV, semester 8;
- ORGANIZATION AND PROFESSIONAL LEGISLATION, undergraduate program Dental prophylaxis assistance, year II, semester 3.
Discipline Professional legislation in Dental Medicine aims to transmit to students and help them acquire them the legal provisions regarding the exercise of the profession of dentist and the legal liability for medical malpractice.
Discipline Organization and professional legislation aims to transmit to students and help them acquire the legal provisions regarding the exercise of the profession of assistant dental prophylaxis, but also those related to professional limits and skills.
In order to deepen students’ knowledge of applicable legislation in the field of personal data protection and legal aspects of medical malprxis, the activity of the members of the discipline is materialized in teaching the course topic and practical works on the following optional subjects:
- LEGAL ASPECTS REGARDING THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA IN THE MEDICAL FIELD – the program of university studies of Dental Medicine license, year I, semester 2;
- LEGAL ASPECTS REGARDING THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA IN THE MEDICAL FIELD – Dental Medicine ( English language ), year I, semester 2;
- LEGAL ASPECTS REGARDING MEDICAL MALPRAXIS – program of university studies of Dental Medicine license, year V, semester 10;
- LEGAL ASPECTS IN MEDICAL MALPRACTICE – undergraduate program Dental Medicine ( in English ), year V, semester 10.
Discipline Legal aspects regarding the protection of personal data in the medical field aims at transmitting to students and help them acquire the legal provisions regarding the legal liability of medical staff, and of the provider of medical services, sanitary materials, equipment, medical devices and medicines for damages caused to patients as a result of the breach of the obligation to confidentiality of patients’ personal data.
Discipline Legal aspects regarding medical malpractice aim at transmitting to students and help them acquire the legal provisions regarding the civil liability of medical staff and the healthcare provider, sanitary materials, equipment, medical devices and medicines for damages caused to patients by performing the medical act in a defective manner.
Starting with the academic year 2023/2024, the discipline of Professional Legislation in Dentistry offers students the opportunity to participate in the volunteer program „ Volunteering in the academic development activity ” ( VADA ) in order to carry out the activities organized within the discipline.
