General presentation
The Medical Semiology I University Clinic was established in 1949 and, since 1974, has been operating in the New Clinics Hospital (now the Municipal Emergency Clinical Hospital), with a team of 26 teaching staff.
The university clinic carries out teaching activities by offering courses and practical training to:
- – second-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, Bachelor’s Degree Programme in General Nursing – Timișoara, Internal Medicine Discipline – Medical Semiology module;
- – second-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, Bachelor’s Degree Programme in General Nursing – Lugoj, Internal Medicine Discipline – Medical Semiology module;
- – second-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, Bachelor’s Degree Programme in General Nursing – Deva, Practical Skills Internship;
- – third-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, Medicine Specialisation (in Romanian), Medical Semiology discipline;
- – third-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, specialising in Medicine (in English), subject: Medical Semiology;
- – third-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, specialising in Medicine (in Romanian), subject: Haemostaseology;
- – third-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, specialising in Medicine (in English), subject: Haemostaseology;
- – third-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, specialising in Medicine (in French), subject: Haemostaseology;
- – third-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, specialising in Balneophysiokinesitherapy and Rehabilitation, subject: The importance of lifestyle in the prevention of cardio-metabolic diseases;
- – Third-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, Bachelor’s Degree Programme in General Nursing – Timișoara, Palliative Care Discipline;
- – third-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, Bachelor’s Degree Programme in General Nursing – Lugoj, Palliative Care course;
- – fourth-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, Bachelor’s Degree Programme in General Nursing – Timișoara, Practical Skills Internship. Specialised Practice;
- – Master’s students in the Master’s programmes in Nutrition and Neurological Recovery;
- – training internships in Internal Medicine for resident doctors, as well as scientific research through clinical studies and participation with papers at international and national conferences;
- – Doctoral students – there are three doctoral coordinators at the university clinic: Prof. PhD Lighezan Daniel-Florin, Assoc. Prof. PhD Sarău Cristian-Andrei and Assoc. Prof. PhD Georgescu Carmen-Doina.
At the same time, the Centre for Advanced Research in Cardiovascular Pathology and Haemostaseology operates here.
